Sunnyside Stringband is an up-and-coming collaboration of top notch pickers born out of the musical community in Asheville, NC. Joining songstress Sunnie Rae in bringing life to Original Music and Timeless Covers.
With songs and stories from the heart this super string group bends and mends the genre-fitting confinements, playing each tune to its own. From Blues to Rock, Folk to Grass, Country to Fiddle Tunes. The driving force of this project is to showcase original music while incorporating fun and innovative covers in the tradition of keeping music alive!
Joining Sunnie Rae in her endeavors of songs and live performance, this Stringband features local Asheville, NC legends Mark Schimick (mandolin) of “Songs From The Road Band”, Jackson Weldon (dobro, pedal steel, banjo) from “Abby Bryant” and “Coyote Rodeo”, and JP Furnas (upright bass) from “Empire Strikes Brass” and “Resonate Rogues”. Often with Special Guest appearances from local, regional, and national touring musicians.
